Strukov – IEEE Fellow
ECE Professor Dmitri Strukov elected a 2023 fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
IEEE Fellow is a distinction reserved for select IEEE members whose extraordinary accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest are deemed fitting of this prestigious grade elevation. Strukov received the recognition for his contributions to neuromorphic and alternative computing systems based on emerging memory devices.
Strukov's research group's broad goal is to develop novel, useful ways to perform computations. They pursue highly interdisciplinary research, which spans material science, electrical engineering, and computer science. It involves both theoretical and experimental work, including developing new functional materials, modeling and prototyping novel electronic devices and circuit architectures, and designing relevant algorithms. The current focus is on mixed-signal circuit implementations with emerging memory devices for applications in machine learning, artificial intelligence, combinatorial optimization, and hardware security.
